OUR STORY

Olivarento started at a kitchen table in Somerset, with a couple who were tired of shaving being treated as a chore.
We are Richard and Melissa Moore. For years Richard used the same cheap disposable razors as most men, and for years he put up with the same rash, the same nicks and the same feeling that there had to be a better way. Then a friend handed him an old safety razor, a proper brush and a tin of shaving soap. That first slow, careful shave changed everything. It felt less like a task and more like a small ritual, ten quiet minutes at the start of the day that were entirely his own.

Melissa has spent her working life as an environmentalist, and she noticed something else. The bathroom bin was suddenly a lot emptier. No more plastic cartridges, no more aerosol cans, just a steel razor that would last a lifetime and blades that could be recycled. For her, wet shaving made just as much sense for the planet as it did for the skin.

That is where the idea came from. In April 2025 we turned it into a proper business and registered our company, STROPT LTD, in England and Wales. The name is a nod to the leather strop, the strap barbers have used for generations to keep a straight razor sharp. It reminds us of what we care about most: good tools, looked after properly, that do their job well for years.

WHAT WE SELL

Olivarento brings together everything a man needs for a better shave and a better grooming routine. You will find safety razors, shaving brushes, rich shaving soaps and creams, pre shave oils, soothing aftershave balms, razor stands, leather strops and leather wash bags, along with gift sets that make choosing a present easy.

We test what we sell. If a razor feels flimsy in the hand, a soap does not lather properly or a balm leaves skin feeling tight, it does not make it into our shop. We would rather offer a smaller range we truly believe in than a long list of things we have never tried.
